Description

We will camp overnight at the trailhead. No fee. There is no water at the trailhead. I will be picking up water at the Ranger Station when I get the permit so I'll have about 5 liters which will be enough for breakfast and to top off everyone's water before we start the hike Saturday morning. Be sure that your water containers are full before you leave home on Friday.

On Saturday morning, we'll start off from the Crabtree Camp trailhead. We'll follow the trail East towards Camp Lake. Just past Camp Lake, we'll turn North East and continue on to Bear Lake. It is 3.8 miles from Crabtree Camp to Bear Lake.

Crabtree Camp trailhead is at about 6900 ft and Bear Lake is at about 7600 ft elevation.
