I just had someone comment on a review of A Time of Gifts by Patrick Leigh Fermor that I wrote about a year and a half ago.  I read the review again (having forgotten entirely what the post was about when I went to comment on it) and greatly enjoyed my review.  I particularly enjoyed the first quote I selected to excerpt, especially in light of all the thought I’ve been putting in on the subjects of Latin and memorization.  Go read the first quote at least, I think you’ll be amused by it.
