Gregory took a nap this early afternoon (an extremely rare event) so I thought I would dump the camera and sort through some pictures.  I knew it had been awhile, but I hadn’t realized that it had been almost two months since I had last downloaded pictures!  Yes, things have been that busy I guess.  I’ve sorted through them and exported some I thought I would share.  Some are of the house, some of the kids, and some of both, but I’m putting them all here for the moment at least.  I’d rather just get them up then not be able to get them up at all because I’m trying to sort them between this blog and the house blog.

So, without further ado, let’s start with Emma’s birthday.  She turned seven (seven!  Wow, how’d that happen?) and she had a great day.  The cake, by the way, was decorated as per her instructions.

And we had a burn pile:

And roasted marshmallows

And we painted the boys’ bedroom  (and yes, that is a cat standing there - we have a construction kitty now - the poor thing is covered in drywall dust and paint, and she’s a little lonely, but at least she’s no longer causing trouble with my sister’s cat.  She was living at my sister’s since we moved but it was getting to be too much of a problem so now she’s living down at the house)

And here’s Nathan hanging out in the backpack while we paint

And Matt installed some ceiling fans

And we received our kitchen cabinets

And they got installed

The kids helped me clean mud off the floor in the entry

And Matt started installing some flooring - first here’s a before picture

And here’s the work in progress.  At this point there are just a couple more rows until this bridge area is finished and we can finally start getting some railing up!

Here’s their robot made out of electrical wire scraps and styrofoam from the light fixture packaging

And here’s the boys playing together - why is it that legos must be spread out like this for kids to play with them??

Emma did her schoolwork outside whenever the opportunity presented itself (poor homeschoolers - so deprived)

Nathan took his first nap (and so far only) in the high chair - right now his most common napping location is in his carseat in the car.  Such is our life right now…

And here’s all the kids playing down at the house

The kids and I started some seeds for our garden

And here’s two more pictures of Nathan - definitely our least photographed child.  Poor kid!  But oh so cute - I really should get the camera out more.

Enjoying berry pancakes last weekend

And roaring because his brother is wearing a dress?  Hmm…

I really need to hand the camera over to other people occasionally - there are no photos of me at all in the last two months.  Really, I was there and I did stuff too…
